The campus is only fifteen minutes from the city center and fifteen minutes from the beach. There are frequent buses from the UCD campus to the city center.

The city and its surroundings offer opportunities for shopping, golf, water sports, seafood, dining, and picturesque walks with stunning views of Dublin Bay. At UCD ELA, we offer more than just a classroom experience. After training, we offer a wide range of evening activities: UCD Campus activities, walking tour in Dublin city, Guinness Storehouse and Jameson Distillery tours, outdoor adventures to the Irish coastline, parks, forests, climbers, Art galleries and museums excursions to traditional bars, weekend trips to the Cliffs of Moher and Giants Causeway are offered.

Accommodation at Ashfield is our newest residence on the UCD campus. With its bright and spacious apartments, Ashfirld Residence offers our students a state-of-the-art living environment. Each apartment has 6 en-suite single rooms and a stylish common area.
Our Academic English program offers students a focused learning experience where they can improve their language proficiency. Students are evaluated regularly during and during the course; Continuous feedback is provided to course participants. Academic English courses at the UCD Applied Language Center consist of 20 or 24 hours per week. ;; Students can learn about Academic English Skills (e.g. seminars, essay writing, lecture listening, note taking, research skills, critical thinking, time management, formal essay forms, and more. many academic skills). They have access to campus life and systems, classrooms equipped with the latest smart board technology, Optional IELTS exam preparation module, Vocational skills workshops, Irish Culture and Society Workshops, Social program, Additional English language development (for social and general use) ;; Lessons can be held between 09:00 and 17:00, Monday to Friday. Time sheets are given to students at the beginning of each semester. Students can take an additional 4-hour IELTS Exam Preparation module per week, with classes held between 14:00 and 4:00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. IELTS Exam Preparation classes only prepare students for the academic module of the exam. Students are assessed to ensure they are at an appropriate level at the start of the course.
Our General English Course consists of 20 lessons per week from Monday to Friday focusing on developing native language skills. With intensive speaking practice that will expand your oral repertoire and improve your pronunciation, you can increase your confidence in social situations, international travel and daily communication.
