FLS Chestnut Hill College, located on 75 acres in the northwestern part of Philadelphia, the college has expanded to include many historic buildings and new facilities to meet the needs of its growing academic facilities and student population.
FLS is located on the Chestnut Hill College campus in Philadelphia's quaint Chestnut Hill neighborhood. The college, a private Catholic school, was established in 1924 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places; all of its Centers are located near major cities that offer numerous activities, entertainment and fascinating venues that continue all year round. Students in our English Language Programs can participate in elective activities at least 2-3 times a week. Most of these activities are free of charge and some of them have small fees. Typical activities organized include meals with international attendance, museums, amusement parks, beaches, historical sites, shopping malls, major league matches and local festivals. All activities are accompanied by FLS guides that provide students with additional opportunities to practice English.
Academic English; Our powerful Academic English program is the fastest way to improve your English. Our program consists of a qualified language education covering a total of six hours a day, including basic courses, two elective courses and a daily academic workshop. This program is suitable for both university students and those who want to communicate more fluently in English. Intensive English; The Intensive English program, our most popular program, consists of 30 lessons (25 hours) per week offered by our expert instructors. The program includes basic courses, one elective course and an academic workshop every day. General English; The General English program combines core courses with academic workshops on a variety of subjects to take your English proficiency to the next level. The workshops include pronunciation hours, speaking clubs, song workshops, and many optional lessons to help you quickly improve your English skills. Preparation for Exams; Students in our academic English program can choose to take exam preparation courses for 2 hours a day instead of elective courses. Exam preparation classes continue throughout the year. TOEFL preparation classes are available in all FLS centers; select FLS centers also offer additional options such as TOEIC, IELTS, SAT, GMAT and GRE.
